Officers are appealing for witnesses after an assault outside a pub in Melton Mowbray.
The incident happened outside the White Lion, in Nottingham Street at around midnight in the early hours of Sunday, September 7.
The 24-year-old victim was having a drink with a friend when they were approached by a man who assaulted the friend. A second man approached the group and assaulted the victim. He received a black eye. He did not require hospital treatment.
The first suspect is dual heritage, in his early 20s and around 6'3" tall. He was wearing a loose fitting dark green hooded top and had shoulder length braided hair.
The second suspect is described as white, in his early 20s and around 5'10" tall. He had short dark spiky hair and was wearing a navy blue pinstripe shirt, dark denim jeans and black shoes.
PC Derek Reid, who is investigating the incident said: "I would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time. We know that there were a few people in the pub at the time and we would be interested to hear from anyone who thinks they may have information which could help with our enquiries."
