Police are appealing for public help after a distinctive clock was stolen in a burglary in Melton Mowbray.
The incident took place between Tuesday July 1, 2008 and Sunday August 3, 2008 when thieves broke into the property on Church Terrace through a window.
Stolen from the property were four small blue antique glasses, a wooden scrolling calendar, a silver Goodmans digital radio and a grandmother clock. The clock is 5ft tall and dark brown with a glass front and brass pendulum. It also has a sliver metal plaque on the bottom with an inscription.
PC James Berridge, who is investigating the incident, said: "We're appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident or saw any suspicious activity on Church Terrace over the past month to get touch.
"The owner has been left extremely upset as the clock was a wedding gift to his parents and is quite unique due to its inscription.
"We would like to hear from anyone who trades in antiques or electrical goods and has been offered any items matching these descriptions at a discounted price to please get in touch urgently."
Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact PC 1853 James Berridge at Melton Mowbray LPU on 0116 2222222, follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer and when prompted key in the officer's identification number 1853.
