Information on Melton

Officers are appealing for witnesses after a number of incidents of damage in Melton Mowbray.

Several incidents of damage have been reported as follows:-

  • Between 6pm on Monday June 9 and 5.20am on Tuesday June 10, a window was broken of property on Lancaster Walk
  • At around 11.40pm on Monday June 9, 2008 a rear window of a silver Citroen C3 was smashed on Milton Court off Leicester Road
  • At around 12.15am on Tuesday June 10, 2008 a front window of a Vauxhall Vectra was smashed on Lancaster Road
  • At around on 12.30am on Tuesday June 10, 2008 damage was caused to a door of a property on Wilton Court off Leicester Road.

PC James Hirst, who is investigating these incidents, said: "We believe due to the close locations and times of these incidents that they are linked.

"We would like to appeal to anyone who knows anything about the incidents or the offenders to contact them. They would also like to speak to anyone who has seen someone acting suspiciously in the area between these times."
