Money-saving bus vouchers are winging their way to homes across Leicestershire from next week.
The vouchers, which are contained within handy, pocket-sized bus timetables, are being delivered to households along seven local bus routes in Coalville, Hinckley, Loughborough, Lutterworth, Market Harborough and Melton.
Each voucher will enable the holder to travel for only 50p between 7th April and 3rd May on selected local bus services.
Nicholas Rushton, County Council Deputy Leader with responsibility for Highways and Transportation, said: “Ninety-five percent of people in Leicestershire have access to at least an hourly bus service.”
"We hope that residents will take advantage of these offers and experience how bus travel is convenient and takes away the hassle of looking for parking spaces, as well as being good for the environment.”
Bus timetables, including those featuring Spring Saver vouchers, are also available from most Leicestershire Tourist Information Centres, service shops and libraries.
Alternatively, call 0116 305 8777, or e-mail: passengertransport@leics.gov.uk
