Robbery at off licence
Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery at an off licence.
The incident happened at around 3.15pm yesterday (Thursday, June 18) at Newington Off Licence, in Newington Street.
The 48-year-old victim, who is a member of staff at the store, was approached by a man who demanded money, before threatening her with a knife.
The suspect then made off from the scene on foot towards Shaftsbury Avenue and then Melton Road. Nothing was taken in the incident and no-one was injured.
The suspect is described as black, between 18 and 21-years-old, between 510 and 6 tall, of slim build. He was wearing a black hooded top pulled round his face, gloves and jeans.
